The word ephemeral refers to something lasting for a very short time. But time is relative, of course. We humans are ephemeral compared to the 5000-year-old spruce trees in California, but compared to the two-week lifespan of the average mosquito we’re virtually ageless. Plants, as usual, illustrate the passing of time (and life) with particular beauty. Join us this month as we hover around ideas of time, ephemerality, and change.
